  The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation has not yet established itself among the Israeli consumer audience as relevant and positively different. TASC has been requested by the corporation’s board and management to accompany the organization in building a five-year strategic plan including formulation of key core goals, examination of the organizational structure and forming specific actions to undertake.

• Process:
  Our team performed characterization and analysis for the Israeli media market, identified target audiences, and recognized the relative advantages of the corporation over its competitors. In addition, the team performed an internal analysis of the corporation, examining the organizational structure by the various divisions. TASC conducted international comparative research on public broadcasters and various broadcast technologies/platforms to identify best practices.

  The main outcomes were a definition of vision and goals for the corporation and formulation of 5 strategic pillars and 30 specific actions to execute in the strategic plan.   The IT market is characterized by rapid changes in technology and customer needs. In light of these trends, IT companies are facing significant competition and required to establish a unique and sustainable competitive advantage. TASC has been asked by an Israeli mid-tier IT provider to assist in formulating a 3-year strategic plan. The plan will help the client establish a desirable competitive advantage.

  Our Team conducted over 30 interviews with the company clients and potentials clients (CIO, CTO, CMO etc.), vendors, industry experts, and managers in the company; including a strategy workshop for the executive team. Afterward, the team mapped key trends in the IT industry (from customer, competitor, and vendor point of view), and identified areas of growth, such as Data & BI, eCommerce, cloud migration, CRM, and marketing automation. In addition, TASC analyzed the current value proposition of the company and examined possible expansions and upgrades, including entering other potential growth areas, encouraging synergies within the company’s units, etc.

• Business Dilemma:
  Israeli MoC conducted an auction for 5G spectrum in August 2020. In the months prior, the mobile network operators had to evaluate the auctioned spectrum value, develop a business plan for deployment investments and design a bidding strategy to win the desired amount of spectrum with minimal prices (considering the complicated auction design – Combinatorial Clock Auction)

  Our team cooperated with the client’s engineering team to assess deployment plan; Performed research on 5G use-cases; Built a 10 year business plan to decide Go-No Go and auction’s value for the company; Ranked all possible spectrum bundles in terms of network quality and economic impact; Analyzed competitors preference and assumed auction strategy; Defined a comprehensive bidding strategy with focus on risk management

• Business Dilemma:
  Recently, the business of renting the Data Center floor was growing rapidly, specifically by clients from sectors that are not typical co-location clients. In order to decide about opening a new data center facility, and in order to focus on marketing efforts, a leading off-site data center provider asked TASC to identify the main demand drivers in the upcoming years.

• Process:
  The first step was to conduct a competitive analysis of the Co-location market in Israel, including pricing models and value-added services. Our team mapped competitors’ expansion plans and develop a future supply picture including geographical analysis of possible supply surplus. The next step was to analyze demand patterns for IT infrastructure solutions and identified players with preferences for non-cloud based solutions (and in particular preferences for co-location solutions). At the end of the process conducted quantify aggregate demand for the Data Center floor area in the upcoming years by different sectors, including geographical analysis of possible demand surplus.

  A dominant Israeli telco company asked TASC to assist in the long process of determining wholesale prices for leasing its fixed infrastructure

• Process:
  Due to the fact that the project spanned several years of regulatory negotiations it entailed several streams of analysis such as constructing an international regulatory framework analysis, analyzing relevant infrastructure TS-LRIC cost models, building a ‘shadow-model’ to predict the expected wholesale prices, conducting a depth analysis of both technological and economic discrepancies in the regulator’s suggested pricing and analyzing the economic and business ramifications of the reform and suggesting a business coping strategy for the “day-after”

  TASC was asked to assist in developing a new strategic roadmap for one of Israel’s leading ISPs, while conducting an operational analysis of the market, the company and its competitions – all as a part of examining the ISP’s acquisition potential.

• Process:
  Our work entailed analyzing the company’s set of activities and growth engines, defining strategic alternatives for the company and estimating cash flow outcomes for each of these alternatives.
