Analysis of the main sectors driving demand for renting data-center space in Israel

Mapping the main sectors driving demand for renting data-center space in Israel
  • Business Dilemma:
The business of renting data center space has been growing rapidly, specifically by clients from sectors that are not typical co-location clients. A leading off-site data-center provider asked TASC to identify the main demand drivers in order to make decisions regarding the opening of a new data- center facility.

  • Process:
The first step was to conduct a competitive analysis of the co-location market in Israel, including pricing models and value-added services. Our team mapped competitors’ expansion plans and developed a future-supply picture that included geographical analysis of possible supply surplus. The next step was to analyze demand patterns for IT infrastructure solutions and identify players with preferences for non-cloud-based solutions (and, in particular, preferences for co-location solutions).

  • Strategic solution & impact:
Our team succeeded in estimating future demand for co-location by different sectors and recommended which sectors to focus on.
