Building a long-term strategy for the Israel Broadcasting Corporation

Accompanying the Israel Broadcasting Corporation in building a five-year strategic plan
  • Business Dilemma:
    The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation has not yet established itself among the Israeli consumer audience as relevant and positively different. TASC has been requested by the corporation’s board and management to accompany the organization in building a five-year strategic plan including formulation of key core goals, examination of the organizational structure and forming specific actions to undertake.


  • Process:
    Our team performed characterization and analysis for the Israeli media market, identified target audiences, and recognized the relative advantages of the corporation over its competitors. In addition, the team performed an internal analysis of the corporation, examining the organizational structure by the various divisions. TASC conducted international comparative research on public broadcasters and various broadcast technologies/platforms to identify best practices.


  • Strategic solution & impact:
    The main outcomes were a definition of vision and goals for the corporation and formulation of 5 strategic pillars and 30 specific actions to execute in the strategic plan. Moreover, an implementation plan was built, including gap analysis and organizational derivatives to improve work processes.
