Reorganizing the IS/IT department of a large organization in the food industry

Realigning the local IS/IT department operating model to the global organizational strategy
  • Business Dilemma:
The Israeli organization had been acquired by a global entity almost a decade earlier but the IS/IT department was far from fully utilizing the solutions and services the parent company could provide and wasn’t ready to face ongoing IT challenges. TASC was asked to assist in realigning the local IS/IT department operating model to the global organizational strategy.

  • Process:
TASC conducted research and analysis to identify the department’s main challenges and mapped best practices among IS/IT departments of the global parent company. Based on its diagnosis, TASC defined the department’s new operating model to meet with the changes in IS/IT departmental roles worldwide and made recommendations for a new organizational structure for the department, Strategic Workforce Planning, and redesign of main work processes.

  • Strategic Solution & Impact:
Company management fully adopted TASC’s recommendations, which are in the process of being implemented.
